Themes Updated - More to come!

Our older premium XOOPS themes have all been updated to support the latest developments in IE7 and Flash implementation. Our club members are encouraged to re-download their favorite themes and update their XOOPS sites with these changes. You only need to replace theme.html and add the /scripts/ directory included in each theme package.

As we release more themes in the coming months we will also start releasing select themes to the general public as individual packages available from our store (coming soon!). Club members will continue to receive all of our premium XOOPS themes at no additional charge - as well as super-cool XOOPS/Flash plugins and addons to enhance your XOOPS site. What type of addons, you ask? We are developing stand-alone menus that can be incorporated into any XOOPS theme, real-time visitor counters, and more! Adobe's latest release of Dreamweaver and the evolution of XOOPS have neatly coincided to produce the need for a new XOOPS toy,&MyXoops is compiling the perfect XOOPS theme solution with the latest release of the popular Dreamweaver component for XOOPS, MyXoopsExtensions.

This latest addition to the MyXoops arsenal of XOOPS novelties will add increased usability, updated functionality and will provide for theme creation for both older&cutting edge versions of the XOOPS CMS. The next generation of MyXoopsExtensions should be ready to go up on our virtual shelves by mid-July or sooner. New Look for 2007

We have finally decided to update our design for a more modern&less"retro"look and feel. To the chagrin of many, however, we have decided to maintain our now trademark"MyXoops Orange", striking though it may be. In the future we may consider offering several variations of this theme in more soothing color schemes to give our regular members an extra bit of novelty for their continued patronage over the years.

MyXoopsExtensions 1.0.4 Walkthrough

Finally, a tutorial that scratches the surface of the functionality MyXoopsExtensions can provide. This presentation will take you through all the basics to have you creating your own XOOPS themes in a fraction of the time, speeding the lurning curve exponentially. Charging Forward

Reluctantly, we have decided to start charging for MyXoopsExtensions. Initially we simply requested a donation of five dollars for use of this essential component, but with 5000 downloads&only $55 in donations to date, we realize that voluntary support will not be enough to keep these utilities alive. With the ever continuing evolution of XOOPS and the benefit of new and enhanced software like the new Dreamweaver 8, we want to continue development on these and other exciting XOOPS enhancements to help keep you on the cutting edge. As we have invested countless hours on what has clearly become an essential utility suite, we feel that asking you to contribute 5 or 10 dollars isn't really asking too much. Henceforth, that's what MyXoopsExtensions will cost you: $5.00 - $10.00.

To the few of you who did contribute to the effort, our sincerest thanks goes out to you.

We are looking forward to soon releasing an even more extensive component suite, with support for XOOPS-specific CSS styles, the latest smarty codes available in XOOPS 2.2 and all the best of Dreamweaver 8.

We are happy to announce that we have finally produced the long awaited XOOPS Theme production suite for Dreamweaver MX 2004. We have added increased functionality to this already extensive component, including every smarty variable usable in XOOPS theme creation! Also included for the first time are click-to-use dynamic theme addons, giving theme designers easy access to codes for multiple theme creation, editable horizontal navigation with dynamic sublinks, and more!

MyXoopsMenu

As you can see to the left and below, we have finally achieved a dynamic flash menu with sublinks for XOOPS. This menu is completely dynamic - just drop it into any XOOPS site and the links will be automatically generated according to what modules are installed and also according to their permissions.
We feel this is a monumental leap for the XOOPS community, as now it can join the ranks of other Object Oriented Portal Systems which offer this fun feature. It will still be a while before we release MyXoopsMenu for public use, as there are still a few bugs to be ironed out, and we still need to develop a range of templates!
Registration @ MyXoops will be required to download, so you might as well register now and secure your place in line to download MyXoopsMenu!

Flash Themes

Though we have yet to release any, MyXoops is planning on being known for the best Flash-integrated XOOPS themes ever seen. We have several works in progress that each present a radical new way of perceiving XOOPS and we are looking forward to your reactions as we start to release them.

All work...

While we know the XOOPS Community is just dying for flash menu functionality and are trying as hard as we can to complete this project, we must concede that this is a massive project and as such may take a while to complete. We have achieved a dynamic XOOPS menu in flash, but incorporating the sublinks is a whole nother ball of haystacks. To be clear, we will be releasing free .swf files, perhaps incorporated into a module or theme or both, which you can add to your own XOOPS site to replace the standard XOOPS menu system.

The FLA (Flash Source) files may be made available with purchase of a license which will allow you to modify and install the menu on as many of your XOOPS sites as you want. Hopefully, if we go that route, the revenue generated by those licenses will allow MyXoops to continue on into the future creating more cool XOOPS accessories, and maybe even fuel our vision of free XOOPS hosting.

Flash Menu

We have decided our first major module release is to be a dynamic Flash menu for XOOPS, something never before achieved on the XOOPS frontier.
Exciting as this project is, the variables are daunting - to make a"one size fits all"Flash menu interface is a difficult challenge. Hopefully, with several sizes and styles to choose from, integration with your own site should be relatively seamless.
MyXoops will be offering customization of the menu interface starting at about 5 bucks, so even if one of our prerendered designs doesn't suit you, you won't have to miss out on this breakthrough development.

We will keep you posted on our progress!

MyXperiment

MyXoops has decided to open'MyXperiment', a section of this site dedicated entirely to the display of works in progress. We are currently featuring a working example of our site rendered in a flash interface - all the same data you might see in other areas of the site, but neatly configured to display in flash.

This project has already sparked a huge amount of inspiration here @ MyXoops and we have already started development on several very different Flash/XOOPS integrated concepts. Look forward to seeing myriad Flash XOOPS themes and interfaces here, and contact us if you are interested in a custom package!

The MyXperiment area of the site will be changing often, check back to watch us progress. Please post any questions, suggestions or comments in our forum.

In A Flash!

MyXoops is working on a revolutionary breakthrough in XOOPS design, incorporating system and module data into Flash. We're a long way from releasing any Flash modules, but you can see the initial implementation of this concept in our links section. This is the first example we are aware of that neatly displays information from a XOOPS module in a Flash'block'. If you know of any other developers who have accomplished this feat, please let us know so that we might further the process together!

We may reimplement our hosting services after first establishing ourselves as the premiere XOOPS theme resource.
