Our first FREE theme includes features exclusively for the latest XOOPS standard, 2.2x, Blue_Blocks also works with previous XOOPS versions. This is a theme to delight those who adore minimalist design, employing all the best of standards compliant CSS within a layout that defies standards - thinking 'outside the blocks' to provide a versatile display environment for your XOOPS Site. For XOOPS 2.2x users, the administration section has been themed to match.


Designed to fill the screen at any resolution, this theme utilizes a centered 3-column CSS layout that expands if there are no right or left blocks to display. Center-center, center-left and center-right blocks are all designed to fill the center of this theme - essentially providing 3 display variations for center-center style blocks. Left blocks have a fixed width of 160 pixels while right blocks are fixed at 180 pixels across, center blocks and content stretch to accommodate the page.


The animated Flash header is simple and quick to load, coming in under 15K for English variations. This is our first attempt to provide all available language variations within our Flash headers, so hopefully this theme will be usable by all of the global XOOPS community. Dynamically generated menu links appear horizontally across the top of the theme, up to 7 buttons are displayed according to the modules you have installed and filtered by group permissions. Buttons have no mouse-over sound and display up to 8 sub-links on roll over.

It's a question repeated far too often in the XOOPS.org forums: "How can I put my static HTML page in my XOOPS site?" Well here is the simple answer - just include your HTML page within a PHP page with XOOPS headers! No modules to install, no copying & pasting your HTML code into 3rd party modules, just insert your HTML page into the include & call it whatever you want. Detailed instructions included.

This theme represents a monumental step for MyXoops Themes, featuring our first vertical version of the dynamic Flash menu we have pioneered for XOOPS. Dark, mysterious and most of all, fun - this theme is sleek & professional while engaging the user with interactive novelty. There are several new components to this revolutionary XOOPS theme - besides the cool vertical Flash menu with slide-out sublinks, the header will dynamically rotate through whatever images you place in the /images/random/ folder, changing pictures with every page refresh. You can put as many or as few images as you like in this folder, change them seasonally or with time-specific marketing campaigns to keep your site fresh and engaging. GIF & JPG images can be loaded into the Flash header, PSD & JPG templates included. While your own images are loaded into the right side of the header, the title of your site spirals in towards the left like a DNA helix, and as it does, a metallic DNA spiral reveals underneath. Mousing over the area under your site title, the title of the page is revealed, sneaking out from the shadows as you roll over it. Center-Center block titles are also animated for novelty.


No dark cloud would be complete without a silver lining, and this theme has not forgotten that. Above the Flash header resting gently on the silver lining is a dynamic text welcome message that acts as a "You are here" status bar when browsing any module. When viewing a non-module based front page, this text welcomes new users & invites them to login or register or welcomes back registered users by name & offers links that would otherwise be found in the standard XOOPS 'User Menu': Inbox, Profile, etc. At the bottom of the page, we can see the footer message in white, above which a banner will be displayed if you desire. This silver lining surrounds the entire page on the right side, highlighting the seamlessly rounded corners top & bottom.


Besides placing your own images in the images/random/ folder, you should not have to alter this theme in any way - it will look just as intended straight "out of the box", because all navigation elements are dynamically generated from your own database.


This theme was designed to display just under 800px wide, for pixel-perfect display on 800x600 resolutions. If right blocks are not set to display on a module, content will expand to fill the page.
Dark_Cloud has been tested and proven to work beautifully in Internet Explorer as well as Firefox. Tested to display properly on 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 resolutions, but should look great on any resolution from 800 x 600 up.
